Core: SSH with keys only
Switch password authentication off for a UNIX user, and SSH accepts keys only. One switch per user, and a guessed or leaked password no longer gets anyone in.
-
One switch per user
Switch password authentication for SSH off, separately for every UNIX user.
-
Access with SSH keys only
Once it is off, SSH accepts nothing but SSH-key authentication for that user.
-
Additional SSH check
Disable password authentication per UNIX user to enforce SSH access with keys. Core also uses health checks to verify that the SSH firewall is sufficiently locked down.
